The Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter is the primary source of information and support to the thousands of Connecticut residents dealing with the effects of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. With offices across the state in Norwalk, Norwich, New Milford, Hamden and our main office in Southington, we are able to offer our communities 24/7 multilingual Helpline support, Family Training Seminars, Care Consultation, Safe Return training, Support Groups and Educational programs for both healthcare professionals and caregivers. The Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut is a temporary “home away from home” for families of children who are being treated at nearby hospitals and healthcare facilities, such as the Children’s Hospital at Yale-New Haven, Yale-New Haven Hospital, The Hospital of St. Raphael, Bridgeport Hospital. The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation is dedicated to serving people afflicted with various forms of thalassemia, most notably the major form of this genetic blood disease, Cooley’s anemia/thalassemia major. The North Haven Education Foundation, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501(c) 3 non-profit organization served by a Board of Directors from this south central Connecticut community. The Foundation seeks to raise funds to enhance education in the public school system as well as within the broader community.
